New signee_new cds for late 2006

A few weeks ago, we've received the master from the first full cd of Elodea, proclaimed as the most innovative band from Slovenia. A full blast of the darkest doom. 'Cataclysmic' is set for an october 2006 release date. The vinyl version will be available through Fuck Yoga Records.
The album is the darkest Basement Apes released so far and contains 6 long songs capturing the sound of the end of the world arriving at a quick pace. There's something ultra pessimistic about the tunes and the universe developped by Elodea. We're so pleased about their signing to Basement Apes Ind.

'Cataclysmic' is no more than this : "The wings of tragedy are progressively blackening our man-made world corrupted. Chaos is riding and dimness is destroying faces in agony. The one chosen to save the world, dragged into the sea of today's life evils, lose faith in majesty. Eternal is now the pain; 'Cataclysmic' is its darkest epitaph. A 6-track musical scheme spreading chaos."

As planned already, the split cd Pupille / Superstatic Revolution is gonna hit the stores in september 2006. Both bands met at Galopa Festival in Alicante (Spain) and decided to meet again on the digital domain because they just fell in love with each other. A must to hear for late 2006. Pupille goes on with their out-standing post rock while SR develops more slow-paced soundscapes.
Here's what we say about the split : "A pattern against punk teenagers' addiction to consume fashion in capsules. SR's arsenal is one of weighted and valuable influences from post-hardcore, noise and metal while Pupille gets the best out of today's progressive rock. Tracks herein take the weight out of these aural oppositions to converge both of them in the same command of a truly enjoyable journey into the depths of progressive rock hardcore."
