With a little bit of delay, this is some news about Elodea :
New members, new chapter...
So it's true, there's new blood running through the veins of Elodea. A guy named Vili, who heroically gave us a helping hand after our old drummer Gasper had chosen not to go on tour, has become a full Elodea member. We only had 2 days before the tour started, which was obviously not enough time to recruit him properly, even if he's an amazing drummer. Therefore there was a lot of experimentation and jamming that sometimes turned out great, yet sometimes a complete disaster. I sincerely apologize to all of you who experienced the latter, but it was really important for us to do this tour as we already had cancelled it too many times before and there's nothing worse than staying at home, right? However, the tour (which took a week in May 2007, by the way) with our sweet boyfriends With Engine Heart was pretty cool and we can't thank them enough for all they did for us. Sharing a van, food, bad jokes and in the end stage or floor day after day was a fucking privilege. We own them a lot, including all the organizers, those who fed us and gave us a place to sleep and everyone else involved. Soon after the tour Jure quit the band and an old comrade Dean joined as a new bass player so there hasn't been really any rest for us. We're working with full force on our new material and it might happen we will show some of it at BorderCross festival in August.
Before I leave the comp I'd also like to express an enormous gratitude to our old band mates Gasper and Jure for being a part of this accursed adventure in the last four years or so. I miss you already, but I guess it couldn't have been any other way. Wish you all the best with Akedeia and other future projects yet unknown.
