The fruitful collaboration between the guys of Superstatic Revolution and Pupille, 9 heads piled up together, has been carved into the digital stone. A brief flash gets us back to the 6th Galopa festival of the year 2005, May 7th to be exact, which was the third day of the festival which takes place in hot Alicante. SR and Pupille are lined-up this very same day.
Down on the way to Alicante, half-way from Tarragona, SR decide to rest awhile on the highway, in those resting places where you buy sandwiches of the price of a Rolex watch. We order some coffees, have a pee (maybe a shit for many !) and go back to the van. Our van was parked aside another big one with gear inside.
You got it already, this was the Pupille van.
We were waiting for our drummer to get back, always the last one to go back in the van... he went back with Ivan. They just had a little chat at men's :
- 'Are you from Superstatic revolution ?'
-'Yes I am'
-'You go down to Alicante and you're a guy from Pupille ain't it ?'
-'Exactly'
Those are approximately the words they shared together.
So they got back and everybody could make everybody's acquaitance. A real mean story.
No, kidding. It was exciting at the least. We went on the road again until Alicante. We parked there near the venue. Found Pupille's guys again. We had 2 hours on to kill, so we decided to have some beers at a local bar.
We speaked to each other english, except Ivan who speaks a very good french learnt in Paris.
A friendship was born. We had a shivering blast running on everyone's body while seeing of each other band performing... one special night I would say.
A couple of months after, while keeping in touch, we launch the idea of splitting some music for pleasure. They invited us in Spain to play a string of dates with them. We had another blast. We could play the new songs to appear on the new cd in front of them and so did they. We had a big huge blast.
We're very very happy and these words are not describing the reality of the facts. Always the same idea beyond releasing stuffs out of any money goal : love of sounds, 2 worlds combined that make 1 sense.
